Calling First Responders

St. Isidore is fortunate to have many First Responders as part of our parish community. They are active in many ministries and bring their commitment to serve our community. We would like to begin a new ministry that recognizes and uses the gifts and talents they have as First Responders.

At the suggestion of the Michigan Catholic Conference and the support of the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department, we are proposing a ministry aimed at handling emergency preparedness. The emergency may be medical, fire, weather, or some other situation that calls for leadership and a recognized procedure to follow. The members of this ministry would provide that leadership based on procedures they would be taught.

Mr. Dick Proof and Mr. Jim Sprague have agreed to begin the organizational phase of this ministry but need our First Responders to come forward and be willing to participate. The responders are those in law enforcement, fire fighters, EMT’s and paramedics, nurses and doctors.

Please consider joining this ministry. Unlike other ministries with set schedules and meetings, this ministry is for those who would be willing to serve at the weekend mass they attend if called on.

Please fill out the form below and return with the collection or call the office and leave the information. You can also email

We hope to have an organizational meeting in early September to get the ministry started. Thank you for your interest and your service.
